I was on a morning hike on Goose Island near La Crosse, Wisconsin and noticed this little yellow bird seemingly appear from nowhere near a small pond. I was lucky enough to get a shot of it before it went back into the brush. Ebird contacted me to verify the sighting was real because apparently they aren’t that common in that area, so i submitted this photo to them. They take birding pretty seriously, I was just out there and lucky enough to take in a brief moment with a beautiful critter in an amazing area for wildlife. Hopefully this photo is a way for me to share with you some version of that experience.
