This photo was taken while sitting on Gunflint Lake. I set out that morning in hopes of seeing the otter I had seen the day before near the open water between Gunflint Lake and Magnetic Lake but it never showed. While deciding how long to postpone breakfast and wait it out I caught distant movement in the back of a bay. This fox walked down the length of the bay, turned North and headed through the woods crossing into Canada and onto Magnetic Lake in a moment of true Northern Minnesota beauty.
